Der Bau war einst eine Papierfabrik der Familie Camera d'Afflitto, die das Hotel auch heute noch leitet. Nach wie vor sprudelt hier eine Quelle, die früher die Mühlen antrieb. Da in Ravello Amalfiküste gelegen, ist es vom Hotel nur ein Katzensprung bis nach Amalfi, weshalb auch weitere namhafte Orte an der Küste leicht zu erreichen sind. Der Aufenthalt verspricht also Erholung, Ausflüge und Kultur zugleich.
