Tlalpujahua
Tlalpujahua is a small historic town in the eastern part of Michoacán, Mexico, known for its charm and cultural traditions. It was once an important mining center, especially during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, with the famous Dos Estrellas Mine playing a key role in its development. Today, Tlalpujahua is recognized as a "Pueblo Mágico” for its cobblestone streets, colonial-style buildings, and forested mountain setting. It’s especially famous for its handmade Christmas ornaments, produced year-round and celebrated with an annual Christmas fair. Notable landmarks include the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Carmen and the former mining facilities, which reflect the town’s rich history.
